Review of Bearsted Caravan Club Site

RV on pitch at Bearsted

Bearstead Caravan Club Site is a medium-size site situated in Maidstone, Kent. It has great access from the M20 and many large pitches suitable for RVs, large motorhomes and fifth wheels. This site is only 30 miles from the port of Dover, making it a good stop before crossing to France.

The site is surrounded by beautiful fields and has many rabbits jumping around, but the hum of the motorway and main roads can be quite noisy.

The staff are very friendly and happy to help. There is a chip van on site on Fridays. The site has clean and warm toilet and shower facilities, washing up room and laundry. There is a small park for children and a small dog walk. And there are several more dogs walks a short drive from the site.

In the area, there is lots to see and do, including Leeds Castle, Kent Life and Historic Dockyard Chatham. At the time of writing, a discount for entry to Leeds Castle is available to people staying on the site.

There is a good motorhome point on site with easy access for dumping both grey and black waste. Though it is on a slope which can affect filling/draining.

Most of the pitches are level and hardstanding, though grass pitches are available as well. 16A power is available, but you may need a long extension to reach the nearest power post. Pitches could be improved for us by allowing drainage and a drinking water tap.

There is good phone signal on the site but the site WiFi is expensive.
