Quiet and beautiful viewpoint overlooking the La Sioule river far below.
This viewpoint clings to the side of the volcanic hills that dominate this region of France. Twisty, climbing roads are required to reach this point, but the views are excellent. Further down the hill, there are more options for places to stop and to eat.
It was relatively noisy due to the popularity of the road and frequent stoppers looking at the view and to relieve themselves in the bushes! It was a little difficult to get level, partly because as the slope heads towards the cliff edge – you don’t want to get it wrong.
