Wild Camping at the Garabit Viaduct

The RV and the BMW parked below the Garabit Viaduct

Beautiful space to wild camp below the Garabit viaduct. There is a motorway aire above the viaduct but it gets a little noisy, however, you can drive down to the River Truyère, where there is a viewpoint, as well as a gravel parking area on either side.

The gravel parking area is not quite level, so ramps are required.

Once parked up, there are beautiful views of the river as well as the viaduct, which is lit up at night during certain times of year. The camping spot was quiet for us, mostly just the sounds of many birds, though there is a hotel nearby which could get louder during the high season.
