Large, comfortable aire near Beziers with a park and decent facilities.
The Aire de l’Espagnac (or is it the Aire de camping-car de Vias?) is a nice little spot, tucked behind the Dragonniere campsite. It can get quite noisy at night, as the animations from the Dragonniere can easily be heard, but when we stayed there in May, they weren’t every night and were always over by 11pm.
We stayed on this aire for a long time and were glad that we had electricity, a good waste point and relatively stable internet for the entire period. The manager was very friendly, though only spoke French. There’s a nice park area for kids, and there are chickens running around in the afternoon/evening, as well as the odd peacock.
We were able to bring our car onto the pitch with us without any concerns or additional costs, and the gate code allowed us to come and go whenever we wanted. There was space for many large vehicles, and there were several American RV’s there when we were.
There is also another aire local to this one which had many RVs, though we did not visit it.
