Canterbury Camping and Caravanning Club Site, is located in Canterbury, Kent. Access is really good, you do need to drive through Canterbury and a short way along a narrow lane. Canterbury itself is just over a mile from the site which you can walk, take a bus or drive into.
The site has 180 pitches, with quite a few suitable for large motorhomes, fifth wheels and RVs.
The site has two nice clean and warm toilet blocks, including a family room with shower and baby bath. There is a nice play area with swings and climbing frame more suitable for the slightly older children. There is a lovely dog walk in the woods, you can also access a lovely orchard and farmland for longer walks. Good motorhome service point on site, although a little tight for the bigger vans. There is a great laundry with two washing machines – £3.50 and two tumble dryers – £1 for 15 minutes.
We had good TV signal with lots of channels including HD. There is Wi-Fi available at the site but it is expensive. We used 3 and Vodafone instead but although we had a good signal the speed was slow.
There is loads to do in Canterbury with many museums, the Cathedral, lovely walks, and there are plenty of shops and supermarkets easily accessible. We would highly recommend Pork & Co for a spot of lunch or dinner, their food is amazing and portions are large. Fish and Chips were delivered to the site on a Friday and you can order many different takeaways to the site.
The staff were lovely and friendly they even delivered our fish and chips to our door when it turned up on site.
