Review of Campsite Château du Gandspette

RV and Car on Small pitch in Calais

Château du Gandspette is a medium-sized campsite situated 22 miles from the port of Calais. Making it perfect for a stopover before crossing back to the UK.

The site has easy access and a good main road through it. The pitches were very tight in length for our 11.5m RV but we did just about fit. The pitches that we were offered weren’t very level from side to side.

The site offered lots of facilities, two swimming pools, a great kids park, sports facilities, woodland walk for dogs and fresh bread between 8-9am every morning. The toilets were clean with warm showers and good washing up and laundry facilities.

There was a motorhome point which we just about fitted in but again was tight. Also, there wasn’t a point where we could empty our tanks. Fortunately, we were empty for the journey from Lyon, so didn’t have an issue there.

Phone signal was good, we used a French sim for WiFi.

This site was nice and good for one or two-night stopover before making the crossing to the UK.
