Teversal Camping and Caravanning Club Site is located in Teversal, Nottinghamshire. Access to the site was good, we followed the Co-Pilot sat nav round wider roads into the site. Opposite the site is the very lovely, Silverhill Wood Country Park, which is on the site of an old colliery with many trails for walking and cycling. Bike hire is available from the site.
The site has 126 pitches, though we were placed on the road next to the ready tents (which were not open to the public in February) as there was not a pitch big enough for us, which worked but was not entirely ideal. Due to our size we were escorted round the site to our space. The ground is clay so the grass is extremely soft, so there is no driving on the grass as you will get stuck. Most of the pitches on site are sloping so ramps are required.
The site has a nice warm and clean toilet block, washing up room and laundry with one washing machine £3.50 and one tumble dryer – £1 for 15 minutes. The children’s park is lovely with many different pieces of equipment for them to play on. There is a play field for ball games and for quick walks with the dog. There is a well stocked shop on site and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
There is a motorhome service point on site, but they were not keen on us using it due to the weight of the vehicle.
We had great TV signal, and WiFi is available at the site for a cost, we used 3 and Vodafone with good signal and speed.
There is quite a lot to do in the area and as the site is close to the Motorway you can get to places quickly. We would highly recommend the National Coal Mining Museum.
This is a nice site but more suited to caravans, motorhomes, tents and much less suitable for RV’s and Fifth Wheels.
