The Camping Fontisson is a small campsite ideally located for exploring the Vaucluse, at the heart of Provence and just a short drive from Avignon. It is surrounded by vineyard and olive trees. The owner is very friendly and speaks some English. Access to the site is fairly easy but the site itself is quite small for large Motorhomes, RVs and Fifth Wheels, making manoeuvring difficult and the pitches not ideal.
The site has a small swimming pool (which was not open when we visited in May), play park, exercise equipment, mini golf (though not in the best condition), football pitch and tennis court.
The facilities on site are warm and clean and offer washing and drying at a small fee. There is a lower shower in the kids room for young children which is nice. Bread and croissants can be ordered from reception for the morning.
The WiFi on the site was patchy and slow on the pitches. You did get 10 free minutes of WiFi at reception every day.
Unfortunately, there was nowhere to empty our black tank, though we were able to empty our waste water.
