Camping Parc Verger is a small tranquil campsite, situated on the outskirts of Champagnac La Riviere which is British owned. It is a small site but very much set up for RVs and large motorhomes and has easy access.
We got a very warm welcome from the owner Frank who was helpful and chatty during our stay and even lent us a tall step ladder. We had water and drainage available on our pitch; although the drain point was at the back of the pitch and we didn’t have long enough hoses to reach. Frank was able to get us in position over another drainage point before we left.
The site had a clean toilet area with great showers and toilets with toilet seats. There is also a nice little washing up area and laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer and washing line.
The site has a bread van that comes most mornings from the local village. The local village is small but does have a good boulangerie. There is a great cycle route just 100m down the road from the site which makes a great ride.
There was good WiFi on site and we had good phone signal.
You cannot walk dogs round the site but you can use the cycle route 100m down the road.
The roads immediately around the site were fine for our RV, but we had to go through Saint-Junien. While a beautiful town, it does have railings, signs, cambers and narrow roads to get through.
